Dear Friends,
Today we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day—one of our favorite days of the year. Around the world, people are recognizing the beauty, dignity, and unique gifts of individuals with Down syndrome. At Friends of Club 21, this day carries special meaning. In fact, we’re throwing a party today—and you’re invited (see details below)! We’d love for you to join us for this fun-filled celebration.
Don’t forget to wear your silly socks! This joyful tradition invites people to wear bright, bold, or mismatched socks—their shape resembling chromosomes and highlighting the extra copy of chromosome 21 that defines Down syndrome. These colorful socks spark conversation and remind us that our differences are meant to be seen, celebrated, and embraced.
That same spirit carries into everything we do. We are now a month into our Arts Academy spring semester and are so encouraged by what we’re seeing. Each week, our students are growing in confidence, creativity, and friendship—reminders of why this community matters so much.
Thank you for being part of a community that believes every individual with Down syndrome is worth celebrating and is Made for More.
With gratitude,
Jared Anderson
Executive Director
